US President Donald Trump has temporarily suspended military assistance to Ukraine. He made the decision after a heated exchange of words with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House. The decision was announced in multiple media reports on Monday local time.

The Fox News report said that cooperation will be suspended until Trump believes that the country’s (Ukrainian) leaders are showing a commitment to peace.
Fox News quoted a Trump administration official as saying, “This is not a permanent suspension of cooperation, it is temporary.”
US military equipment that is not currently in Ukraine will be subject to this temporary suspension of cooperation. This includes weapons that are on planes or ships en route to Ukraine and are in Poland waiting to enter Ukraine.
President Trump has instructed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to implement the decision to temporarily suspend arms cooperation.
The news came hours after he told reporters at the White House that he did not discuss suspending military aid to Ukraine. But Trump told reporters that Zelensky should be more grateful for Washington’s assistance.
The United States has provided Ukraine with billions of dollars in aid during its nearly three-year war with Russia.
